Description

Writing History introduces you to the techniques historians use to identify questions, undertake research, and communicate their finding. With guidance from your supervisor, you will work towards writing an 5,000 word essay that explores a historical problem from of your Level 2 modules. The balance between primary and secondary materials will depend on the topic and the availability of sources. Alongside supervisions to discuss your independent work, you will attend a series of lecture workshops that will offer advice on how to excel in the longer forms of writing that are an important part of the Level 3 curriculum.
